Part of She's Arkansas Heritage Collection, the Thorncrown Chapel is a “woodland sanctuary” located just outside of Eureka Springs that opened in 1980. The Prairie School structure with a nod to Gothic architecture was designed by E. Fay Jones, a protege of Frank Lloyd Wright, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places well in advance of the 50 year requirement for its architectural significance. E. Fay Jones (along with Maurice Jennings) also designed the Mildred B. Cooper Chapel (1988) in Bella Vista. Maurice Jennings went on to design the Anthony Chapel (2006) with David McKee.
